A Furious row broke out in Canberra today when a seven year old child visiting Federal Parliament, questioned why Australia was ordering nuclear submarines which would not be ready for at least a decade when all the science he had been taught said that the world as we know it would be wiped out by climate change before the first boat entered the ocean.

The child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was watching two debates from the visitor’s gallery, one on the climate change catastrophe and the other on the AUKUS submarines, when he turned and asked his father what the point of the submarines was when there would probably be no Australia to defend?

His father told him to shut up and show some respect; the Government knew best.

His mother told his father he was traumatizing the child; the Government knew damn all.

The Government asked for the child to be removed as he was making them look foolish.

The Opposition asked for him to be removed as he was making them look useless.

Federal Parliament Security Guards told both parents that their child was causing the chamber embarrassment and escorted the family out of the building.

The debates then continued, uninterrupted.
