MASCULINE SHAME, the latest battlefield in the ongoing culture wars, has a new champion: God!

The Big G, The Most High, The Lord Omnipotent, has been recruited to the fight on behalf of shamed men. And quotes from the Bible are giving men back their dignity.

“More and more men are returning to scripture for validation,” says Rev. Paul Adam Peter, who runs a refuge for shamed men in downtown Los Angeles. “They come here in their hundreds and thousands, bent over, shuffling, some afraid to talk before they enter in case they will be identified as a man and condemned by protesters. Because we have a permanent protest outside. You see the placards: ‘Men Suck the Big One And Make Women Suck Everything Else’ and ‘Toxic Masculinity Is A Disease, And A World Without Manhood Is The Cure’. I believe that last one is lifted from a Sly Stallone movie.

“Yeah, some of the men we get are ashamed of their own shadows. So we get them to stand up, announce who they are and then say: ‘I am ashamed of being ashamed’. It has a remarkable effect. Then we show them that they do not have to be ashamed, that God, at least, loves them. Men respond to that.

“Outside you can hear the chants: ‘Patriarchy Patriarchy Go To Hell!’ and ‘Castration Equals Liberation’. There are others but they are not repeatable.

“Some of our patrons are so broken by Woke Culture – especially cancelled college lecturers – that they find speech difficult. They keep asking which pronoun people use and whether anyone took offence at any words they employ. Or whether they culturally appropriated something or other. It’s tragic. We give them back their pride. And we teach them self respect, which has been stripped from them. Also, we teach them that violence is not a solution.

“Because there are many men out there who believe that not only is violence a solution, it’s an obligation. Because, they say, violence is the one reality the Woke people can never shout down.

“I just pray it never comes to that.”
