UKRAINE “BLIND OPTIMISM LIE” BEING SHOT TO PIECES BY CRUDE RUSSIAN REALITY

BY WHOEVER ISN’T VOMITING WESTERN PROPAGANDA

“WHEN IS this bullshit going to be called for what it is … bullshit? And how many of those who are peddling it will EVER apologize for what they are doing? Probably never. Who apologized for Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan?”

This is the beginning of a suicide note left by a young reporter who went to Ukraine to tell the truth about the war there.

“Almost six weeks to capture a few fields and villages? Most of which have no one in them or consist of a collections of wretched broken buildings. And yet the Western press continues to peddle progress, advances , liberation. This is a fucking disaster I am witnessing. Probing attacks? Tell me what great battle victory was ever preceded by six weeks of probing attacks. You’re supposed to punch holes in your enemy in the first 24 hours. Looking for weak spots? You’re supposed to know your enemy’s weak spots before you fucking attack. I mean Napoleon, Caesar, Rommel, Zhukov, where are you? There are three lines of Russian fortifications between here and the coast, and the Ukrainians haven’t even reached the first. The Russians allow them into bag areas and then drop artillery on them and counter-attack. Then for good measure they throw mines in behind them to block their retreat. This isn’t an offensive, it’s crowd control. The Ukrainians have no air support. They haven’t enough men. The Russians are in divisions, the Ukrainians in brigades. Their western equipment is as vulnerable as their Russian equipment. Their tactics seem to mirror Russian tactics last year while the Russians have improved and may themselves attack. Capturing fields in no man’s land is not progress or victory, or anything like it. If this was D-Day, the Ukrainians would still be at the water’s edge, cold and wet, still facing the first line of pill boxes in the distance with the panzers yet to be unleashed on them. Remember the South Vietnamese Army? Remember the Iraqi Army? Remember the Afghan Army? Blind optimism is not a weapon, it’s usually a lie.”

The reporter left the note and then walked out and stepped on a landmine.
