MUCH OF THE REFUGEE flow out of Ukraine has been caused, not by fear of Russia, but by the inflow of NATO personnel into the country, says independent conflict monitoring service The Call of Booty.

“The arrival of huge numbers of advisers, spies, engineers, propaganda hacks, gun-runners and the like, has driven rents in big cities in Ukraine through the roof,” insists Magda Realpolitik, a researcher based in Kyiv since 2022. “The local population is finding it difficult to survive.

“Other costs have also risen due to the invasion, but it’s rent that have really rocketed. You can hardly move in some areas for NATO personnel. I sometimes think there are more Americans here than in Boston. And English is fast becoming the language of social – and sexual – intercourse. While the US dollar is the quiet currency of all transactions. If it continues, the whole of Ukraine’s population will be gone, replaced by NATO personnel. Or worse, Americans.”
