CALLS FOR ISRAEL TO BAN RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS AS IT KEEPS GETTING ATTACKED ON THEM

JERUSALEM

STRATEGY EXPERTS IN Israel have called on the Netanyahu Government to ban all religious holidays in the country after Saturday’s attack by Hamas which came between Sukkot and Simchat Torah.

“Yom Kippur 1973, the Egyptians attack and we almost go under; and now this, another religious holiday attack, and another devastating assault on the integrity of Israel,” says Ariel Gur a former colonel in the Israeli Army who now runs a strategic advice institute in Tel Aviv. “We’re too small to concede any territory to an enemy. You could cut Israel in half in a lunch break. We have too many religious holidays. No more. We can’t afford them.”
