FROM GAZA
“WHERE DOES NETANYAHU want Gazans to go when he tells them to get out? To hell?”
Human rights lawyer Bashir Murphy De Gaulle, based in Vienna, says Israel’s air strikes into, and other punishments of, Gaza, are window dressing, a temper tantrum.
“Bombing a guerilla army like Hamas in this way is like hurling bombs at the ocean. It makes a big splash but does little else. So it is an act of revenge and rage. Punishment. Playing right into the hands of Hamas. Well done Bibi. You have secured recruits for the next attack. And the one after that. The more attacks, the more your powerlessness is evident, for all to see.”
