VIDEOS OF HAMAS fighters training with para-gliders have caused observers to ask Israeli intelligence what exactly they have to see in order to understand what their enemies are planning.

“Too much reliance on technology, lack of real sources, it’s all there to see,” says intelligence specialist Ian Le Carre, who runs My Enemy’s Enemy, a London-based security firm. “The once-feared Mossad, and the internal agency Shin Bet, have dropped the ball. And now the Netanyahu administration, which really should have resigned in shame, is doing what the Bush leadership did in 2001, just lashing out to show how powerful it is and cover its shame. The results may be the same but I’d say Netanyahu is as much interested in just maintaining his position as he is in winning something tangible against Hamas.”
