CALLS FROM VEGANS and climate activists, for dogs and cats to be fed vegetable diets to help save the planet, have been met with a suggestion that vegans donate their own bodies for pet food to ensure pets receive at least some of the meat nature suggests they might need to have in their diets.
“It would be a perfect sustainable cycle, with the animals eating their dead owners, easing the pressure on meat production and guaranteeing that the vegetable goodness the humans have consumed will enter the animals too,” says Lucius Bankwet. “Win-win.”
The proposal is that volunteers for the project would carry a special donor card, volunteering their corpse to the animal kingdom.
“So many people die alone and are eaten by their pets already, that this will only regularize the situation,” insists Bankwet.
