BELGRADE, THURSDAY
LIFE FOR SOME British people has become so intolerable that they are pretending to be asylum seekers so that the Sunak Government will deport them to Rwanda, says a migration lawyer based in London.
“They think they might be able to have a better life in central Africa,” says Toby Rnotobe, himself the son of African migrants. “I’m getting inquiries every hour, from all over Britain, asking about Rwanda. Some people originally called to see about migrating there anyway, but the British Government plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda has provided a cheap and simple way to make the journey without the usual migration fuss. Though it must a little embarrassing to want to go to a country where the most brutal genocide since the Holocaust took place only thirty years ago. You need to be pretty desperate.”
