AS LEADING FIGURES SAY VIOLENCE IS NOT PART OF THE US POLITICAL PROCESS, HISTORIAN SUGGESTS THEY MIGHT WANT TO READ MORE

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT IN DEALEY PLAZA, DALLAS

LEADING AMERICAN FIGURES who have said that violence is not part of the American political process have been referred to the history books by a historian.

“Where do I start?” asked Professor Noel Fungussin, whose podcast, The Rest Is In Pieces, attracts viewing figures in the high millions. “Maybe just a list of names, in no particular order, will assist: Lincoln, McKinley, Garfield, Kennedy, all assassinated; Roosevelt, Reagan, Jackson, Taft, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Clinton, Bush, Obama, all either the victims or targets of attempted assassinations. Then there’s Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King; not to mention the old segregationist, George Wallace, who survived, and perhaps even Joe Colombo, head of the Colombo crime family, who was actually whacked in his capacity as a self-appointed representative of Italian America. Need I go on? These guys need to read a little more.”
