AT LEAST ONE OLYMPIC ATHLETE IS AI ANDROID: CAN YOU TELL WHO IT IS?

PARIS, FRANCE

IN A FIRST for humanity, an android controlled by artificial intelligence has been entered in the Olympic Games as part of an experiment.

The android, who looks and acts human has been placed into the competition with the agreement of all countries taking part. The aim is to measure its performance both socially and athletically when placed among humans.

“We’re not saying whether it’s male, female, trans, or anything,” says Dr Oppy Bobhymer, who heads the international team doing the experiment. “We’re just observing how it performs. And if it wins a medal, so much the better. The hope is that our android will compete and interact and never be detected. Then we will know we’re making progress. It’s exciting.”
