GAZA
FANS OF PALESTINIAN GROUP Hamas will soon be able to spend time embedded with the group’s military wing, taking on the Israeli Defence Force, following the emergence of a new tour operator offering weekends away in Gaza for a modest fee.
Walk The Walk, an online start-up with plans to go public on the Nasdaq, hopes to attract customers from the millions of people in America and Europe and around the world, who have declared their support for the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
“Seventy per cent of Gazans voted for Hamas, so you can be sure that your assisting Hamas in ambushes, rocketry and random executions has popular support,” says Walter Sachsenhausen, whose idea this is. “You will get a Death To Israel T-shirt and a free suicide vest in case you decide you want to take your support to the next level. All profits – after expenses – will go to support Gaza’s struggle against Israeli aggression.”
The program is encouraging left-wing intellectuals and muscular homosexuals supporting Palestine to sign up. “We hope to get a large contingent from groups like Queers for Palestine,” says Sachsenhausen. “They, of course, will be offered the option of a one-way ticket. Or they can offer their return ticket to Gazan civilians should the tourists no longer require it when their weekend concludes. We take no responsibility for clients venturing on to the roofs of tall buildings.”
