AS IRISH PRIME Minister Simon Harris seems to only open his mouth to change feet, observers of the Emerald Isle’s General Election are commenting on the similarities between the Irish leader’s election campaign and that of his namesake, Kamala Harris (Remember her?) in the United States.

“It has to be the name,” said a bookmaker who has seen money shift from current Dublin Government to other parties following a series of blunders by Mr Harris. “Of course, it could be that both of them rose from nowhere, to be handed high office on a plate, only to prove to their constituents that they were not really up to the job they sought. But that’s just my tuppence worth. I’m sure it will all work out in the end. If he keep his trap shut and does nothing stupid before polling day. Naturally, we’re taking bets on that.”
