WHILE THE ELECTORAL success of Alternative Fur Deutschland has caused howls of “Nazi” and “Fascist” from its opponents, some of its supporters are shouting back, that the Nazis failed, and they will not.

“Hitler called it all wrong,” says Otto Ostie, from Upper Saxony: “He brought millions of foreigners into Germany as slave labour; he launched a war against Russia when it was supplying Germany with every resource it needed to thrive; and he turned on the Jews and yet he made common cause with the Islamic world. What a dummkopf! We will not make these mistakes. We will not be so soft-headed. Anyway, wasn’t he a foreigner too?”
