UKRAINE’S ACCEPTANCE OF a ceasefire in its war with Russia, despite no immediate reciprocal action from Moscow, may well leave the plucky underdog vulnerable to a sudden onslaught to which it cannot reply.

“Trump has forced Ukraine to sue for peace, while its enemy is still advancing,” said a Zelenskyy insider. “And I see some in the western press claiming this is some kind of victory over Putin. A few more victories like this and my country will dissolve completely.”
