LONDON
UK CHANCELLOR RACHEL Reeves appears to have demonstrated how the future can influence the past when she blamed actions of Donald Trump which have yet to happen to the UK for her country’s desperate economic performance.
Ms Reeves, known as a giant in economic thinking, and a public speaker to rival Cicero and Winston Churchill, says that Mr Trump’s tariff policies are to blame for the present weak UK economy.
“Since Mr Trump has yet to impose any tariffs on the UK specifically – save one on steel generally, of which the UK exports a very small amount to the US – it can only be that future tariffs on the UK are affecting current economic conditions,” explained Derek Trotter of the Peckham Corporation, an economic think tank founded to publicize Ms Reeves economic genius. “This is a fabulous discovery. It could, if harnessed, lead to us being able to influence previous economic catastrophes and re-shape the world we live in. Imagine no South Sea Bubble or Great Depression or 2008; or Liz Truss even? It’s fantastic. I can her being nominated for a Nobel Prize.”
