OUR TREASONOUS DOG WRITERS
THE LOSS OF one senior commander is a misfortune, the loss of two, possibly carelessness, but the loss of more than that is a sure sign treachery could be at work.
The Israeli decapitation of top-line Iranian leaders is causing many in the Islamic Republic’s hierarchy, political and military, to suspect that some of their colleagues may well be in the pockets of the Mossad.
“Some of these people must be playing a double game,” says George Smiley-Bourne, a former UK special forces captain turned international mercenary and charity worker. “The kind of operation that takes out senior leaders all at the same time, that’s got inside help. There’s at least one rat in the house in Teheran, maybe more, and everyone at the top will be looking across the table at everyone else, wondering if it’s possible that their loyal comrade is working for Israel.”
