FILM OF EUROPEAN Union Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen fawning over Donald Trump and seemingly reciting a prepared statement about the US President’s tough negotiating style, has caused at least one psychiatrist to comment that she was acting as if she had been kidnapped.

“She displayed all the characteristics of the kidnap victim, worshiping her captor, singing his praises, seeing everything from his point of view,” says Dr Patricia Hurst, a specialist in kidnap treatment. “It’s ugly but you must understand that when a person becomes totally dependent on someone who seemingly holds the power of life and death over them, they just cave and do everything they can to please that person, even to the point of supporting his cause to the detriment of their own. We’ve seen it many times before. This is a brutal example of it.”
