IN WHAT SEEMS a reversal of Machiavelli and Sun Tzu, US President Donald Trump told anyone who would listen of his cunning plan to untie Russia from the orbit of China, and now the Russians are finally admitting that they heard him as well and know all about it.

A Kremlin statement reads: “Yes, we heard The Donald when he broadcast his intentions before the American election, and frankly we were convinced that it was a double bluff, to get us to move closer to China for some obscure reason. Hey, the man loves tariffs. But after much investigation, we can confirm that the US President’s *Reverse Nixon plan is real and obvious and as transparent as it looks. And we are so confused.”
