CONFUSION REIGNS IN THE COURT OF KING DONALD AS DIPLOMACY BY IMPULSE LEAVES STAFF PARALYSED

WHITE HOUSE REPORTER BYORN FEELAN

THE CAPACITY OF US President Donald Trump to engage with the world on an impulse is said to be causing sleepless nights at the White House and in other Federal institutions.

“Forget the ballroom reconstruction, that’s small potatoes,” insists s State Department official. “It’s the President’s capacity for sudden changes of mind and direction that cause everyone to remain awake at night. One minute he’s for someone, the next he’s against them; then he’s back for them. Does he love Putin or Zelenskyy? Or does he love Putin and Zelenskyy? Or does he hate both of them? What did someone say about the impossibility of reason? Hell? Our foreign policy moves with the tides, it seems. Often he can began a meeting on someone’s side and end it the guy’s worst enemy. And the other way round. It’s bewildering. The Donald is so damn fragile that a comment about his suit or his hair, or anything, can change our foreign policy in a moment. Not to mention his habit of revealing secrets. He just tells everyone what things are really like. Admirable, I guess, but telling the world were short of Cruise Missiles does leave us kinda short a few cards. And putting sanctions on sanctions on sanctions, that becomes slightly ridiculous. Just how many times can you put crazy brutal sanctions on the Russians? O look, this might just make America great again but Americans will all end up in therapy.”
