PSYCH DOCTOR AGREES WITH RONAN KEATING THAT BOYZONE CONCERT TOURS COULD BE ‘INCREDIBLY UNHEALTHY’ AND SAYS THEY SHOULD CARRY WARNINGS

FROM ENTERTAINMENT WRITER, ULICK ‘BOY’ WAISTBAND

A TOP PSYCHIATRIST has suggested that reunion concert tours by Irish boy band Boyzone, should carry health warnings, after the group’s lead singer, Ronan Keating said that a full tour with his former mates would be ‘incredibly unhealthy’.

“I don’t always find myself in agreement with Ronan Keating but I think he might be right here,” said Dr Clare Mindbender, a podcaster whose show Psychobabble is a monster hit on YouTube. “The lads are thirty years past their prime. The boy band era appears to be a distant memory. The sight of middle-aged men going through those generic computerized dance steps and the sound of those cover versions, could have a detrimental effect on fans’ health. Some of these fans will now be grandparents, remember. Not to mention the fact that many attendees may not even recognize their old idols. Apart from dear Ronan, the rest of the pack hasn’t exactly been front and centre in recent years, have they? It would be embarrassing, and potentially fatal to some, if they came out on stage and fans began chanting ‘We Want Boyzone!’”
