AUSTRALIAN DAY OF MOURNING IS FOR BONDI MASSACRE AND NOT FOR ENDURING ALBANESE GOVT, EXPLAINS LEAFLET

SYDNEY

A SMALL LEAFLET, allegedly published by the Australian Government, explains to foreigners that the country’s National Day Of Mourning on 22 January 2026 is to mark the Bondi Massacre of 14 December 2025 and not the first year of the current Labor Government.

Confusion among Australians about what they were lamenting saw foreigners both in Australia and abroad convinced that the day of mourning was for almost a year of the latest round of Albanese leadership, which has not inspired the great Aussie public. The title of the day, too, has increased confusion. Light Will Win is seen by many as a commentary on sky high electricity prices.

“Millions of small leaflets, handed out to people on the streets and sent abroad, as well as an internet campaign will hopefully help with the confusion, it is believed,” said a Labor insider. “And the cost will be less than a dozen NDIS grants. Or a quarterly electricity bill.”
