TAX OFFICIALS WAITING TO MEET FLIGHTS FROM DUBAI

FROM U.R. KARMA IN THE PERSIAN GULF

EX-PAT EXILES now fleeing Dubai to return to their homelands are likely to be met by the tax man when they touch down, as various western revenue services prepare to survey them for potential unpaid tax.

Vade, who operates from the Caribbean and advises international clients on how best to minimize their tax exposure. “Many of these refugees left for Dubai to avoid tax in their own countries. Now they suddenly find themselves back on home soil with all that that means for taxation. It could get ugly.”
