CALL GOES OUT FOR CLAY PIGEON SHOOTERS TO FIGHT IRANIAN DRONES

SPORTS DESK

AMERICA HAS PUT out a call for anyone with clay pigeon shooting experience to volunteer themselves for duty in the Persian Gulf as a line of defence against Iranian drones.

“Shotguns are terrifically useful against drones, as has been demonstrated in Ukraine, so we figure that lining the Arabian coast with thousands of clay pigeon shooters will provide as much protection as any number of anti-drone missile systems, and fora fraction of the price,” said a Pentagon spokesman. “Star shooters – Olympic champions and suchlike – are really encouraged to man – or woman – up. The pay will be about $1,000 a day, depending on experience, plus a bonus for every drone brought down. All the shooters have to do is wait, watch and shoot.”
