PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S desire to have a role in choosing a new Iranian leader may see him being obliged to convert to Islam and become a learned mullah, as Iranian leaders are chosen by an Assembly of Experts comprised of learned Islamic clerics.

“He would have to attend a Madrasa for about three to four years and then gain a reputation as a Koranic scholar, which would take some further time,” says Mohammed, an exiled Iranian who comments on political affairs in his home country. “President Trump might be find some difficulty leading ‘Death To America’ chants at Friday prayers, but where there’s a will, as they say.”
