The comments of an Orange Order official on the stand-off currently taking place between Portadown Orange Order and the residents of Garvaghy Road and their friends.

“I expect the Peelers to do their duty and enforce the law. Surely our police force can beat the living shit out of a few thousand rebellious *Taigs blocking the King’s highway. Because if the police fail in their duty, I cannot begin to contemplate the fate of our brave 35 who will have to march all alone down that road into the jaws of Fenianism. Martyrdom is too limited a concept for what they might face. I can only imagine the sheer terror flowing coldly through their veins and their bowels. God help them!”
